advertiser's comments Almendricos is a small Spanish village located in the south of Murcia, on the border with Andalusia. If it's Spanish atmosphere you're looking for, you've come to the right place! Situated approximately 3 km from the village, Almendricos Cortijo is a 19th century farm which was renovated in 2006 (in old style). Almendricos lies in a valley - on both sides there is a small mountain ridge. The valley is very fertile, as is the entire area south of Murcia. Here you will find huge citrus fruit plantations, mostly orange. In addition you will find many almond trees and huge expanses with artichokes, lettuce, broccoli and onions. The mountains offer a large variety of wild herbs and flowering plants throughout the year. There is a varied fauna, especially birds - there is a large variety of very special birds here. In the mountains you may encounter fox, hares and tortoises.
